Read what some of our graduates say about their studies at The Coaching Institute

I learned about the profession of Life Coaching in 2005. Having shared in my wife's journey as she left the corporate world to follow her dreams at home, I knew there was something else for me. I no longer had any passion for corporate IT and knew I needed to be doing something else.

I had an epiphany in the early 1990's and realized I loved working with people more than technology. When I discovered coaching, I knew I had found what I was meant to do. I enrolled in The Coaching Institute and began my journey.

As I evolved in the world of the Coach, my life started to change. My day job was becoming less of a drain and life itself started to have more possibilities. Coaching was not just an incredible potential source of income for me--it presented an opportunity for me to make a significant difference in the lives of the people in my niche. Coaching has given me confidence in other areas of my life also. I have lived with impaired hearing since my childhood and was terrified of group discussions. As speaking is a core strategy of coaching, I opened up to the possibilities and now speak regularly to groups of various sizes.

In 2007, I was honored and humbled to learn that I had been appointed International Coach of the Year. I look forward to continuing to grow as a coach and making a difference in people's lives. By coaching my clients and by showing others that they can trade the life they have for the life they love. Thank you, Terri, for showing me the way.

Four years ago, I was a workaholic control freak perfectionist, just ask anyone that worked for me. I was working I was in the office at 4:30 in the morning, not leaving until midnight, only to start all over again. I was a manager of about 100- 150 employees depending on the day. I was always hiring, I was always firing, I was ALWAYS neck deep in performance reviews and behavior modifications. And that is the part I liked! I was always dealing with executives that wanted their own way regardless of the cost to the people that were actually doing the work, that was the part I didn't like.

I knew that I loved the feeling of an employee coming to me proactively for advise or just an ear. It was the most satisfying feeling to see these people become success in that job or move on to better jobs. That is the feeling that I wanted each and every day. This is the feeling that drove me to look for other options, after much research I choice The Coaching Institute. I selected this school because it had a great curriculum as well as a business model to follow.
